Here at Scales and Sons Grab Hire we operate a modern fleet of 32 tonne grab lorries, diggers and dumpers with drivers which are hired out on a load or daywork basis.
Established over 2 years ago as Scales and Sons Grab Hire we have undertaken a number of various projects from companies such as Elstree Film Studios, Dooley Grab Services, Harvey’s Groundworks, Geobond, APS and Hurley’s. We have also undertaken numerous domestic / commercial projects all over the country.
We can take a principal role or we can act as a sub-contractor service on a daily hire basis. Our grab lorry service could provide an economical solution to your waste-disposal requirements, whether you’re laying a drive, digging a pool, clearing a site or just landscaping.
As part of our Groundworks Hertfordshire service Scales and Sons Grab Hire can supply crushed concrete, topsoil, sand and ballast, type 1 and a vast, comprehensive range of aggregates to suit our clients’ requirements.
Our grab-lorries can remove waste efficiently, quickly and economically just when you’re ready. They can also bring in the exact quantity of sand, crushed concrete, limestone, topsoil or other materials placing it just where you need it.
Our “eight wheel” lorries can carry up to 17tonnes (or approximately 14 cubic metres) while our “six wheel” lorries can carry up to 13 tonnes (or approximately 12 cubic metres). Each bucket load is about 0.5 cubic metres. 1 load = 3 skips at half the price!!
Quotations for Groundworks Hertfordshire are available on request for night work and weekend hire. We specialise in restricted access to projects and therefore can apply our expertise and advice to client’s requirements whether specifically to a project or on a weekly hire basis.
